Job Summary:
The IT Technician is charged with installation and support of company hardware, software and networks. This position will also offer operational support to the system as well as assisting employees in an organization in matters related to IT. This position will apply knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems. Collaborate with other employees to research and resolve problems.
Essential Job Requirements:
- 1+ years experience
- Associate degree in computer science or equivalent trade school program or accredited computer training course preferred but not required
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with users, management, and fellow IT personnel
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience with Windows OS, Linux OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, Office365 and general ERP system knowledge
- Willingness to learn
- Excellent teamwork, time management, and collaboration skills
- Experience with computer networks, common network protocols, and troubleshooting network connectivity issues
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
Job Duties:
- Complete work assigned from a ticketing system
- Work closely with the IT Systems Manger to fulfill short term and long-term IT Projects
- Provision new computer systems to end users and maintain equipment inventory for hires/terms/transfers
- Coordinate with vendors to get adequate support and replacement of faulty parts and services
- Provision mobile computing devices
- Maintain security of network, servers and company data following established standards
- Provide end-user support, resolving technical issues and providing technical assistance
- Support company software and hardware and provide break fix resolutions
- Provide support via telephone, e-mail, IM, Remote or in person
- Provide support to multi-state locations, may require travel
- Support, troubleshoot, and install physical network infrastructure
- Other duties as assigned
